Where is Rutland?

Rutland is the smallest county in England, United Kingdom.

Historically called Rutlandshire and named after the Anglo Saxon King called "Rota", who ruled the area over 1000 years ago.  Rutland is a rural haven tucked away in the larger region called the East Midlands.

punching above its size...

"Much in Little"  is the motto of the county

Rutland has two large market towns Oakham and Uppingham.  Then it has a whole host of smaller villages, woodlands, expansive farmlands and of course the largest manmade lake in Europe - Rutland Water.
